Academic Year Sponsorship & Scholarship Opportunities

HWNT is dedicated to promoting women's progress in corporate, public, and civic life. Our mission is to foster a comprehensive understanding of women's significance in society, business, and family, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the educational, cultural, social, legal, and economic well-being of all women.

LIP is committed to creating pathways that empower and support young women in pursuing post-secondary education. Our mission is to equip high school girls of color with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive beyond high school, ensuring their successful transition into higher education and beyond.

Why Sponsor Latinas in Progress?

  • HWNT creates a safe space where Latina women can network, find purpose, gain skills, and learn, thus enabling professional women to be better able to serve their community.
  • Research shows that Hispanics and Blacks continue to project low college enrollment rates and or completion of a degree. Our ability to provide LIP students with resources paves the way for them to have a better future that breaks cycles and barriers. Education plays a vital role in our girls’ lives.
  • Financial constraints are a major reason why Hispanics do not finish a four-year degree. We assist by providing scholarships to two Juniors and over a dozen Senior high school girls.

Meet Our Latinas in Progress Program Leadership

LIP Cochairs have a combined decade of experience as volunteers or mentors with the organization prior to taking on the positions of co-chairs. Many of our leaders and Mentors stay involved in the organization for several years in various roles; this helps our organization to have a historical reference, which has further strengthened the organization's integrity and sisterhood.
